Interesting demonstration of putting a micro-FP cavity on PIC for self-injection locking of lasers. Notable technical details include (1) the design of mode matching between waveguide and FP cavity, (2) the method of measuring the phase noise (reference intereference + self-homodyne at higher frequency), (3) a poor man’s circulator using circularly polarized light.
