Broadband Interleaver design in AIM foundry

Rsoft simulation: broadband 50:50 directional coupler

Using device level numerical simulation softwares such as Lumerical and Rsoft for the design of photonic devices for specific purpose. The stucture shown above is a broadband, 50:50 directional coupler designed for high speed communication. Other passive or active devices are also possible.

Optsim simulation: 2-stage interleaver

Using Optsim or Optical interconnect, it’s convenient for simulation of large scale systems using pdks exported from device level softwares. Here I demonstrate a 2-stage interleaver using Ring Assisted- Mach Zenhder Interferometer architecture. The flatband performance is preserved in a range of 100nm.
